>   I'm pretty sure that when you buy the bike new, they last forever! I'm sure that's what the sales guy said. Mine came with a two year unlimited miles warrantee, from the factory, and my dealer personally warrenteed it for another year, or two. It hasn't mattered anyhow. I think it'll get me to anywhere I want to go, as fast as I want to get there. This little thing has had me totally charmed (just like "Momma Jack" has!), since I first laid eyes on her. I have my "desk-top" a pic of the same model, sans the mods I've found necessary to make, i.e. handle-bars, racks and bags. I never have to look at my big "Givis", as they are close behind me, I barely glimpse them in my rearview mirrors. I must say, that red color is hot as hell!  I bet you get the attention of "Barney Fife" on frequent occasions. That red is way prettier than I imagined! Over the last couple of years, "imagined" is a good description of the riding I've done. My Big Trophy, is tuned, newly shawed, barn kept clean, and full of gas. I just got a 8 day dog-sitting cancellation gig, and I have no plans. There was a time that I'd be packing, and watching the rain forecast for tonite, and tomorrow, packing my rain tent, and wearing my rain-gear. My mountaineering rain gear, will keep me dry, but I have to keep moving! I need to fix my little stove........., ah...Shyt, Maybe I'll put on my rain-gear, and ride out to "the Canyons", and smell that "out in the woods smell". I have to put on my new centerstand real quick. Oh man, laying around the house for the last two months has made my pants shrink, shoot, a lot! You know what it is, don't cha"? Winter Blues!!!! I think I do this about now, every year. Seasonal Affective Disorder, or as we refer to it in "Clinics"....."SAD".... Headlight on the road is the best cure. Hot dogs cooked on sticks, beans out of a can, beer the same way. Yeah, it's just "Spring" beginning to stir. All will be right soon enough I think.

Re: New Exhausts found - sort of

Triumph Trophy mailing list
I contacted Delkevic a couple of years and urged them to come up with kit for our beloved Trophy. They were quick to respond, as was I, by purchasing the SS kit (as opposed to the carbon fiber).  Installation was straight forward, although a bit of tweaking was required to clear the panniers. Lighter and better looking than stock, the sound, at least from the triple, is intoxicating. You'll catch yourself shifting closer to redline and blipping the throttle at stop lights. Unless your dead set on OE, can't imagine not going with the Delkevics. FYI, I'm not a paid spokes person for Delkevic, just an enthusiastic customer.

Thanks for posting a link to Delkevic - they do look good - I already bought a new old stock OE left exhaust - so I really am going to need a matching RHS some time soon. No doubt one will turn up eventually - in the meantime, I'll carry on  with the blowing one.

I temporarily repaired a hole in my Mk1 silencer, with a coke can and slilcone sealant... I was surprised how well it lasted... can't you get a Pir of Delkeviks for less than the cost of one OEM silencer? then maybe sel the OEM silencer and recoup some of your expense.
